Aarti Devi- learning stitching and weaving her dreams.

Background:

Aarti kumari verma, 24-year unmarried women from shri ram ki nagal village. She belongs to a poor family where she lives with her elder sister, as her parents died at very early stage. She is BA final graduate but due lack opportunity she cannot able to fulfill her dreams during her adulthood. She is a women from village area so it’s not possible for her to reach and work in cities.

Transformation:
After joining a Nirjhari facilitated under CSR program of AU Small finance bank, she became a member of a local women Artisan Producer Company. She learn stitching and Hand Embroidery. With training in design, pricing, and quality control, she gradually became a lead artisan. She later received training in leadership and Skill development. she and other artisans were trained to modernize their embroidery patterns for decorative and home décor products.

Impact:

·         Now earns ₹8,000–₹10,000 per month consistently.

·         Says: “Earlier I worked for money. Now I work with pride.”

·         Her embroidered products are now sold under a collective brand in Delhi and Jaipur exhibition.

·         She says: “My hands were skilled, but now my voice matters too.”
